AC Milan’s season has been rather confusing, and the Rossoneri have fallen way short of expectations, both domestically and in Europe, which has massively harmed things moving forward.

On what he believes has not worked in the Rossoneri…

“I think there has been a lack of balance. Milan had periods when they were very good offensively, playing well and scoring a lot of goals. But maybe they were fragile and in the end you paid for it, because it ended up taking away certainties also from the offensive point of view.

In my opinion, the team has not achieved the balance that others have. Like Napoli for example, you can see that Conte’s team is solid. As Inter are. And this is an essential condition to do well at the highest level.”

On the player who has particularly disappointed him this season…

“Rafa Leao is a player from whom I expect much more than what he is doing. And I also expected something more from Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini.”
