Roma defender Zeki Celik was interviewed by Sky Sport shortly after Roma’s 1-1 draw with Porto in the first leg of the Europa League playoffs.

“I’m happy for the goal, I’m always ready to help the team,” he said. “We played well and controlled the game, it’s a positive result, but we have to win the return match.”

“The referee gave a lot of yellows tonight,” he added. “We were aggressive but after so many yellows we stopped pressing.”

“This morning I learned that I was playing from the start. I’m happy, I always want to help the team and have a chance to start.”

“We wanted to win but it’s not easy to play here, we have to win at the Olimpico.”
