Ivan Zazzaroni doubts the statement from Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi that La Dea won’t sell Ademola Lookman to Inter Milan or a team in Serie A.

The Corriere dello Sport editor made a post on his Instagram account questioning the mind games in the Atalanta executive’s recent comments.

La Dea CEO Percassi did acknowledge that his club had promised Lookman last summer that they would allow him to leave the club this time around.

However, the executive denied that there was a specific price tag that they would sell him for.

Moreover, Percassi did notably insist that Atalanta do not want to sell Lookman to another team in Serie A.

Zazzaroni Questions Atalanta CEO Percassi’s Mind Games With Lookman & Inter

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni noted that Atalanta “don’t want to sell Lookman in Italy.”

“And they’re waiting for a club from abroad to make a move.”

“Moreover, they’ve never communicated a price tag to Inter,” Zazzaroni notes.

“When Napoli first made a move, Percassi was open to selling the player. But later, he asked them to pull out and not cause problems.”

“He then reiterated the same point to De Laurentiis’s club when they sniffed around again a week ago,” Zazzaroni notes. “(‘Please don’t make a fuss.’)”

The Corriere dello Sport editor notes that “Atalanta have a strong contract, and their own principles.”

“Now it remains to be seen how Lookman will act.”

“But the question is this: If they didn’t want to sell him in Italy, why did they take three days to respond to Marotta?”

Inter made their second offer for Lookman early last week. However, they had to wait until Friday for the offer, which was a rejection.
