The Celtic manager confirmed that Yang will be missing for at least the next few weeks as his injury from that nasty fall at McDiarmid Park in Sunday has been x-rayed and the winger will have to keep his arm in a sling for two weeks. So the 22 year-old Korean international will have to sit out tomorrow’s game and also the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park next Sunday against St Johnstone.

Other that Yang’s injury there are no other injury concerns and Liam Scales is also scheduled to return after sitting out the last few weeks on doctor’s orders after he took a cheek knock incurred in the victory in Paisley against St Mirren. So one in and one out for tomorrow’s squad.
Brendan Rodgers confirmed Yang’s injury timeline at Lennoxtown today, which again did not involve fan media. That’s the club’s decision and it’s a backwards step that fails to recognise the reality of where Celtic supporters look for their Celtic content. Still, the folk in the fan media are unlikely to lose any sleep over it and when Celtic need something we know that they’ll be in touch. That’s how it works you know.

“We’ve got Yang that will be out, he’ll have his arm in a sling for a few weeks,” Brendan said. “Obviously he’s had a nasty fall and a slight sprain of his elbow, but everyone else should be okay.
The Celtic manager however isn’t ruling Yang out for the rest of the season.
“Hopefully, he’ll be back before the end of the campaign I think, as I said, it’s two weeks in a sling and then we’ll assess it from there,” he said.

It’s certainly been a breakthrough season for Yang at the club. He’s made 30 appearances and has scored five goals with six assists. He had a real purple patch, during the time his girlfriend was visiting from back home, and even won the Man of the Match in that game in Paisley where he got to lead the post victory dancing.

Incidentally that’s the second time a winger has had to play on while injured as Celtic had used all five substitutions. It also happened to James Forrest at the Premier Sports Cup Final win over theRangers where the evergreen winger had to play through much of the 30 extra-time with a injury that subsequently kept him sidelined until the last few weeks.
Maybe keeping an unused substitute slot available is perhaps a more sensible ploy?
