When all was said and done, Real found themselves condemned to the wrong side of a 2-1 result.

And, along the way, Mbappé cost his teammates dear once more.

Afforded a glorious opportunity to draw the visitors on level terms from the penalty spot during the 2nd-half, the summer arrival in Spain’s capital fluffed his lines for the 2nd time in the space of a week.

This came amid another hugely underwhelming all-round display on Mbappé’s part.

And, as alluded to above, as much has since given rise to an altogether concerning statistic.
