It’s the fourth round of the Women’s FA Cup with a host of intriguing games throughout the afternoon.

Here’s what went down.

Late drama

Scorers: England 69′ 80′ (PEN) Ayane 90+6′; Haywood 13′ Sigsworth 51′

Tottenham came back from 2-0 down to beat Sheffield United 3-2 to put their name in the hat for the FA Cup fifth round.

Against the odds it was Sheffield United who took the lead as Sophie Haywood slotted home after 13 minutes.

Into the second half and the Blades got a second thanks to a clever finish from Jessica Sigsworth.

But the north London side rallied back as Bethany England showed her class with rifled effort on 69 minutes.

And with 10 minutes remaining England grabbed her second as she converted from the penalty spot.

Spurs then completed their stunning turnaround in the sixth minute of added time as Rosella Ayane chipped the onrushing goalkeeper.

Blues go marching on

Scorers: Fishel 70′ Cuthbert 101′ Nusken 105+2′; Asseyi 18′

Chelsea needed extra time to beat West Ham as Erin Cuthbert and Sjoeke Nusken sent the Blues through.

It was the Blues who enjoyed all of the early pressure at Kingsmeadow with Lauren James looking lively in attack.

But against the run of play it was the Hammers who took the lead as Viviane Asseyi raced in and finished with aplomb.

After the break the west London side continued to push for an equaliser and they eventually got it with 20 minutes to go through Mia Fishel.

It ended 1-1 at 90 minutes and with no replays, the match went into extra time.

Emma Hayes’s side were once again the better side and finally made all their pressure pay on 101 minutes as Cuthbert headed in.

Nusken then grabbed Chelsea’s third just a few seconds before half time in extra time,

Arsenal sting Hornets

Scorers: Russo 7′, Wälti 12′, Blackstenius 66′, Ilestedt 86′ Maanum 89′; Agyemang 77′

Arsenal put in a fine attacking performance as they beat Watford 5-1.

Alessia Russo got Arsenal off to a blistering start as she reacted quickest inside the penalty area and poked in from close range.

The Gunners then doubled their lead just five minutes later as Lia Wälti curled in a beautiful first time effort.

After the break the north London side added their third through Stina Blackstenius.

Watford did pull a goal back with 13 minutes to go as Michelle Agyemang finished smartly, netting against her parent club.

Arsenal’s three-goal advantage was restored late on as Amanda Ilestedt grabbed their fourth before Frida Maanum struck a fifth.

Reds send Robins crashing

Scorers: Bonner 85′

It was an uninspiring first half with neither side really testing their opposition goalkeeper.

But the game burst into life on the hour mark as Ceri Holland was sent off for Liverpool after receiving her second booking.

The 10-woman side held strong defensively and netted a late winner as Gemma Bonner scored with Liverpool’s only shot on target in the game.

Roord sends City through

Scorers: Coombs 7′, Roord 38′ 69′, Fowler 89′

Jill Roord was the hero of the hour as her double helped Manchester City beat Durham 4-0.

The visitors got off to a flying start as Laura Coombs volleyed in from inside the area to give City a lead after only seven minutes.

Jill Roord then doubled the Super League side’s advantage with a brilliant effort from 25 yards out.

Into the second half and Roord was at it again as she got her second of the game, chipping the goalkeeper after excellent work rom Lauren Hemp.

City netted their fourth late on as Mary Fowler came off the bench and completed the win.

Parris at the double for five-star United

Scorers: Toone 28′, Parris 37′ 55′, Williams 71′, Malard 90+1′

Manchester United booked their place in the fifth round of the Women’s FA Cup after a convincing 5-0 win over Newcastle.

The hosts impressed in a stellar first half as Ella Toone gave United the lead on 28 minutes with a thunderous effort from the edge of the area.

The Red Devils then doubled their advantage just before the break as Nikita Parris headed home from close range.

After the break Parris bagged her second of the afternoon as she capitalised on a defensive error and poked in from just two yards out.

Marc Skinner’s side booked their place in the fifth round late on as Rachel Williams netted a fourth, reacting first after her initial effort hit the crossbar.

And the icing was put on the cake in added time as Melvine Malard added a fifth.

The draw for the fifth round will take place on Monday January 15.
