Wolves hold talks with ex-Roma boss Daniele de Rossi | OneFootball

Daniele de Rossi was sacked by Serie A giants Roma earlier this season and he has now held discussions about a move to Premier League struggles Wolves.

Vitor Pereira’s side find themselves at 17th in the table and while they are quite a distance away from the drop zone, there is unhappiness about the job that the Portuguese has done so far.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that this is why the Wolves managemenent has held more than one meeting with De Rossi, who has already made it clear that he would want to manage in the Premier League in the near future. This contact was made through intermediaries, with Wolves interested in a managerial change in the summer.

The Italian is keen to get back into management and knows English very well, having learnt it to perfection over the last few years. He is fascinated by the Premier League and Pep Guardiola happens to be one of his managerial role models.

De Rossi also has indirect connections in England as a majority of his wife Sarah’s family resides in the country.
