Now, fellow Barcelona teammate Wojciech Szczesny decided to chime in and commend the latter as well during a recent interview. In fact, as quoted by SPORT, the Polish goalkeeper even claimed that the 22-year-old Barcelona midfielder is the most impressive player he has ever seen in his career:

“What Pedri has achieved this season… I’ve never seen a season like this from any player. Watching him play, watching him control the game — both defensively and offensively — it’s incredible. He’s the player who has impressed me the most in my life. I don’t know what his secret is, but he never loses the ball.”

This is huge praise on its own, but it is even more impressive coming from a veteran like Szczesny. After all, the 35-year-old Polish goalkeeper has had a long and successful career across some of Europe’s biggest clubs.

Both players remain committed to Barcelona

Thus, for him to say something like this about Pedri, it must really reflect a lot of respect towards the young Barcelona star. As for Szczesny himself, he will continue to be a teammate for Pedri for at least two more years thanks to his recent contract extension.

As for the 22-year-old Spanish star, he has a long commitment to the Catalan club and he is more than willing to see it through. At long last, he is finally able to show his true potential to the football world with injuries no longer hindering his progress. His quality is something that this Barcelona team loves to play around, and considering the kind of words Szczesny had for him, they all seem to value him a lot.
