EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea stepping up pursuit of Premier League striker – not Evan Ferguson!

These games come after Chelsea beat Leicester City 2-1 away from home in the lunchtime kick off game in the Premier League on Saturday.

Maresca appears to be taking a bit of time for some reflections on where Chelsea are right now and how he is feeling the progress is going.

The game on Saturday also marked Maresca’s first trip back to The King Power stadium where he of course managed last season and led Leicester to the Premier League.

Maresca speaks on Instagram

As you can see above, Maresca says:

‘Saturday was a great game. Satisfied with the path we are taking with the team. It was also exciting to see old faces, players, and fans. Thanks for the insights and support.’

What a lovely touch from the classy man who returned to his former home. Chelsea is his home now though of course, and he is settling in to his new surroundings very well and not looking back.

Maresca has got some very good results so far as Chelsea head coach and they will all be very pleased with being joint third in the Premier League right now especially compared to where the club were around this time last season.

He seems very focused, confident, and he certainly has the players on his side. I don’t think we have seen full ‘Maresca-ball’ so far though, but the signs are certainly starting to creep in at times and the players certainly all look much better than they did last season, so far at least. Long way to go in this season yet.
