Mexico's participation in the prestigious Maurice Revello tournament, which takes place in France, officially kicked off. The opening match for El Tri was against Denmark and, as was to be expected, it was a hard-fought match with dangerous chances in both goals, so the final score was 3-3, one of them on behalf of the Cantera Rojiblanca.
As we told you earlier, there was participation of the youth players from Guadalajara, as the four Guadalajara players who were called up to the national team had minutes against the European team.
Yael Padilla, Hugo Camberos and Diego Ochoa were starters. In fact, Padilla played the entire match and provided the assist for the first goal, while Hugo was on the field for 68 minutes. On the other hand, Diego Ochoa was also on the field for the entire match, leading the Tri U-20's defensive line.
Juan Pablo Uribe came on as a substitute at 68' and, from the very first minute, made his presence felt. Thanks to his speed and talent, he was able to score the second goal at 84' of the match.
El Tri lost in penalties by 4-5, so they are already thinking about their next match in the Maurice Revello tournament, which will be next Saturday, June 7, against Japan.
