FC Barcelona clinched the La Liga 2024-25 title last night as they emerged victorious over RCD Espanyol in their last league match. With this win, the Blaugranes are seven points clear of the second-placed Real Madrid, with only six points left to play for.

However, this was not an easy win to get for Hansi Flick’s side. The hosts on the night, Espanyol, kept making things difficult throughout the first half, generating some dangerous chances while keeping the Blaugrana attack in check.

Lamine Yamal happy with the La Liga win

But the breakthrough came in the second half for Barcelona, and as has been the case so often this season, it was once again the youngster Lamine Yamal who made the difference for his side. This goal will be remembered not only for giving the league title to the Azulgrana team, but also for its beauty.

The youngster celebrated with his teammates after last night’s win and, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, also talked to the club media at this moment.

The Barcelona star admitted that the league win was still in doubt even after the win over Real Madrid:

“We’re very happy. There’s always some doubt until the end, you know? This is something very important for the club, and we’ve achieved it.”

Intentions for the future

The young winger went on to express his love for the Blaugrana club and assured that he will continue doing what he is doing everything for his side:

“I don’t work to score important goals, but for my club. I don’t care what people say outside. I focus on the matches and will keep doing what I do for my club.”

Although this is the second league title for Lamine Yamal, he will go on to remember this one more as he was one of the main protagonists in this successful La Liga campaign. With the way he has performed this season, everything looks set for him to have an even better next season.
