Arsenal will be looking to secure three points when they face Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night at Emirates Stadium. Ahead of the match, one expert notes what player could have a big performance against the capital club.

PSG dropped significant news on Monday before their match against the Premier League side. Manager Luis Enrique left Ousmane Dembélé out of their squad as the group headed to North London.

It’s a setback for PSG’s attack, especially given the strong form Dembélé has shown this season. The 27-year-old has tallied four goals and four assists in seven matches across all competitions, so his absence will be felt.

The Gunners head into this clash having won two straight matches, including victories over Bolton Wanderers and Leicester City. Manager Mikel Arteta has quality players at his disposal, and Arsenal expert Charles Watts has tipped Gabriel Martinelli as an ideal player to exploit PSG’s one weakness.

“Arsenal’s threat will come from out wide; I’m convinced of that,” Watts wrote in his Daily Briefing column for CaughtOffside. “Obviously, Bukayo Saka will be important, but Gabriel Martinelli was excellent against Leicester and looks to be finding his best form again.

“Martinelli was electric at times in the Champions League last season; arguably, his best performances of the campaign came in that competition, and I think he will have a big part to play on Tuesday night.

“We know how good Achraf Hakimi can be going forward and Arsenal will have to watch out for him, but he does leave space in behind when he presses forward and that could be perfect for Martinelli to exploit. I think the Brazilian is going to be key for Arteta’s side.”
