The powers that be at Barcelona are continuing to keep a watchful eye on the situation of Ilaix Moriba at La Liga rivals Celta Vigo.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest ongoings behind the scenes in Catalunya’s capital.
Midfielder Ilaix, for his part, sealed a return to Spain this past summer.
Again deemed surplus to requirements by RB Leipzig, the Guinea international put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal with the aforementioned Celta Vigo.
And, to date, as much has proven an altogether beneficial arrangement for both parties.
Ilaix has enjoyed a fine campaign to date, looking at home in the engine room setup of boss Claudio Giráldez.
In turn, murmurs have begun to mount that the Celta board have already come to the decision to make the 21-year-old’s signing permanent next summer.
And, in the case of as much, entitled to a piece of the fee involved will be the aforementioned Barcelona.
The Blaugrana secured a sell-on clause as part of the deal which sent Ilaix to Leipzig back in the summer of 2021.
As per Sport, as much comes in around the 10% mark, meaning a small but welcome financial injection could well be coming the way of the cash-strapped Catalans next summer.
