After 37 matches and nine gruelling months of action, the Premier League title race came down to the final day.

Victory for Arsenal at Old Trafford ensured the Gunners would be in it until the last, but a seismic win away at Tottenham Hotspur two days later ensured Manchester City were in pole position heading into Matchday 38.

Success against West Ham United was rarely in doubt and a 3-1 win rendered Arsenal's 2-1 victory over Everton inconsequential as Pep Guardiola's side became the first team in English football history to win four straight league titles.

City will soon take to the streets to start enjoying their unprecedented achievement, but when will their parade take place?

Here's the latest on City's trophy parade plans.

City's win on the final day saw them pip a similarly imperious Arsenal to the crown. City supporters stormed the pitch after the final whistle, with the players returning to lift the title once the Etihad turf had been cleared.

Skipper Kyle Walker hoisted the trophy once the stage for the presentation was set up, with players then soaking in the atmosphere thereafter. Jack Grealish rather humorously attempted to operate a confetti gun and got there in the end after initial difficulty.

Once the players departed a Ibiza hits-infused dressing room, there were reports of a late party into the night among members of the City squad and their families. Manager Guardiola was also in attendance as the Cityzens made sure they enjoyed what is a remarkable achievement.

However, there's still work for the champions to do in 2023/24.

With the Cityzens involved in the FA Cup final against Manchester United on Saturday 25 May, there are no concrete plans in place regarding a trophy parade. They'll be finalised after Saturday's final and there's talk of the club hosting an extra celebration to mark their unprecedented fourth-straight league title.

Last season's treble parade took place just two days after City beat Inter in the Champions League final. City supporters have certainly gotten used to enjoying such parties and there's always a little bit of chaos when Grealish is involved. He'll be having a great time, no doubt.

If their upcoming parade follows the same route to last season's celebration, Guardiola's squad will depart Tonman Street, Deansgate and head to St Mary’s Gate before travelling through Cross Street and King Street and finishing on the corner of Princess Street and Portland Street.

Tickets typically aren't required for parades, but supporters are encouraged to arrive as early as possible for the best viewing experience.
