The list of teams involved in the Champions League last-16 stage is confirmed following the play-off round.
In the new league phase format, the top eight teams progressed straight through to the last 16 - including the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Aston Villa - while the teams that finished between ninth and 24th had to navigate a two-legged tie.
Manchester City were convincingly eliminated by Real Madrid in a blockbuster tie, while three big shocks saw AC Milan sent packing by Feyenoord, Club Brugge knock out Europa League winners Atalanta and PSV roar back to end Juventus’ hopes in what proved a disaster week for Italian sides.
Liverpool know they could face Paris Saint-Germain in the next stage, while Arsenal will be happy with how the results have fallen their way.
The draw for the last 16 will take place on Friday February 21, 2025 at 11am GMT.
