An all-Brasileirão clash kicks off the Round of 16 as Palmeiras and Botafogo are set to go head-to-head at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

That will be followed by another showdown between two of the remaining European sides as Benfica and Chelsea will do battle at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium.

When Enzo Fernández left Benfica for Chelsea in 2023, he was tipped to continue the sparkling World Cup form that earned him that British transfer record move.

It took a while for the Argentine playmaker to hit his stride at Stamford Bridge but he was a standout performer for Enzo Maresca's side at the tail end of last season.

Facing his former employers for the first time since leaving two years ago will serve as a barometer of Fernández's evolutionary journey with the Premier League giants.
