Premier League outfit West Ham ‘have been scouting’ a Bundesliga goalkeeper as a future target, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
Hammers boss Julen Lopetegui was backed heavily with multiple transfers in the summer transfer window, but continues to be under pressure.
West Ham have not performed up to expectations as they are currently sitting 14th in the Premier League table and drew at Bournemouth on Monday night.
Hammers first-choice custodian Alphonse Areola is currently out with an injury and 39-year-old Polish shot-stopper Lukasz Fabianski has started recent matches.
The club are in the market to bring in a new goalkeeper in the future as they plan what to do in the position.
And the Hammers ‘have been scouting’ Freiburg’s 22-year-old Noah Atubolu.
The young German shot-stopper has been Freiburg’s number 1 since last season and he is also a Germany Under-21 international.
Now, only time will tell whether the Hammers will make a move for the young Freiburg man in future transfer windows.
