West Ham set high Lucas Paquetá valuation amid Saudi interest | OneFootball

Lucas Paquetá (27) has been cleared of spot-fixing charges brought by the FA. The recently delivered verdict will have a bearing on the Brazilian’s future at West Ham United. The former Olympique Lyonnais midfielder is expected to depart the Hammers, according to French media Foot Mercato.

Paquetá has two years remaining on his contract at West Ham, however, he is expected to leave the London club during the current transfer window. Two years ago, the Brazilian was on the verge of joining Manchester City, before the charges brought against him saw the deal fall through.

The Cityzens no longer hold an interest, however, Foot Mercato understands that there is an interest from Saudi Arabia and from Brazil. Al-Nassr are notably interested in Paquetá, as are Flamengo. However, West Ham United have considerable financial demands. A price-tag between €60-70m has been touted. It remains to be seen whether Al-Nassr or Flamengo would be able to reach that valuation.
