Ademola Lookman is at the top of Inter Milan’s wish list for attacking reinforcements in this summer transfer window. Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has publicly confirmed ongoing negotiations with Atalanta for the Nigerian international’s signature.

Inter Milan have entered the race for Ademola Lookman in recent days. The Nerazzurri are determined to strengthen their squad to remain competitive on multiple fronts next season and have set their sights on the Nigerian forward from Serie A rivals Atalanta Bergamo. Sporting director Piero Ausilio shed light on the ambitions of the Lombardy club during a public statement this Friday, July 18, 2025. The former AS Roma executive confirmed that talks with Atalanta have begun and made it clear Inter’s intentions regarding the Nigerian winger.

"It’s no secret, we are interested. We’ve spoken with Atalanta and made our expectations clear. We want to sign him and Atalanta will be the ideal partner, regardless of our interests or the player’s wishes. Sancho and Nico Gonzalez? We can’t just focus in one direction. (Ademola) is our top choice. If we can’t make it happen, we’ll look for alternatives,” said Piero Ausilio.
