Next up Brighton on Saturday at St James’ Park.

We know it is very early doors, still 31 Premier League matches to go, but if you had to put your mortgage/rent on it, what is your gut feeling on where Newcastle United will end up in this 2024/25 season?

Our thanks to all who voted and here is the collective result from Newcastle United fans on how they think NUFC will do this season (percentages rounded up or down to nearest whole number):

1st – 1%

2nd – 1%

3rd – 5%

4th – 15%

5th – 27%

6th – 26%

7th – 14%

8th – 8%

9th – 2%

10th – 1%

11th – 0%

12th – 0%

13th – 0%

14th – 0%

15th – 0%

16th – 0%

17th – 0%

18th – 0%

19th – 0%

20th – 0%

Conclusions

Only a very small handful of those voting, voted for a bottom half position. Certainly no position below 10th getting close to 0.51% of the total vote that would have seen a 1% put against that placing.

Fifth place just marginally the most popular with 27% of the vote, whilst sixth got 26%, then 15% saying 4th.

Which is the real story I think of the voting, 68% of the Newcastle United fans believing somewhere between fourth and sixth is most likely.

Averaging out all the votes, Newcastle United fans collectively thought fifth was the most likely finishing position (it averaged out at 5.4).
