Recently, AC Milan entered the frame to try and sign Genoa’s Radu Dragusin. However, it seems very unlikely that the club will continue their pursuit of him for several reasons.

Milan have been heavily linked with signing a defender in January, and the Romanian defender has been well-spoken of. However, with the competition attached to signing him, the financial obstacles, and the step-up of players already at the club, the Rossoneri will explore other avenues.

Antonio Vitiello of MilanNews has written that Theo Hernandez’s adaptation into a central defender has been unexpected, and the outcome has been remarkable. He is exceptional on the ball and is showing more encouraging signs as the weeks go by of the maturity needed to play centrally, at least for the short term.

However, the more prominent issue is the financial aspects of a deal for Dragusin. Genoa requested €25million, a fee Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur can and will offer this month.

Milan attempted to reason with the Grifone, though, offering €10m and Lorenzo Colombo (whom the Rossoneri value at €12m-€15m), given there has been previous interest from them. However, he seems destined for North London as time passes.
