In a recent interview with GQ Sports, Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. spoke honestly about his life on and off the pitch.
From humble beginnings in Brazil to becoming one of the most exciting players in the world, Vinicius shared how far he has come – and how much more he wants to achieve.
“I try to stay focused, be humble, and remember where I come from. I would like to leave a legacy beyond Football.
“I work with my Foundation focused on the educational system in Brazil,” he said.
The Real Madrid winger has often spoken about his passion for helping young people in his home country, and this interview again showed his commitment to making a difference beyond football.
Vinicius also named Cristiano Ronaldo as his biggest influence. “Cristiano Ronaldo has also inspired me with his incredible work and dedication; he never stops striving to be the best,” he admitted.
Known for his own relentless work ethic, Vinicius continues to follow the example set by the former Madrid legend.
He also added LeBron James as someone he looks up to, along with Brazilian icons like Ronaldinho and Neymar.
“LeBron James for the same reasons, but also for what he has done for his community, demonstrating that greatness goes beyond performance,” said Vini.
“And of course Brazilian legends like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Neymar, who represent a lot for the Brazilian people and for Brazilian football. They’ve shown the world the talent and joy we bring to the game.”

Despite already scoring in two UEFA Champions League finals and winning major honours with Madrid, Vinicius still has big dreams.
“I have already achieved a lot, but my dreams are far from over. I want to win more trophies with my club, win the most important titles with Brazil, and continue to inspire the next generation to believe in themselves.”
For the 25-year-old, wearing the white of Real Madrid and the yellow of Brazil is still surreal. “Playing for the biggest club in the world and the Brazil National Team still feels like a dream.”
Continuing, he added: “I know that my path inspires others, especially the children who come from where I came from. Knowing that my story can motivate someone to pursue their own dreams means everything to me.
“Representing my team, my country, and my family on the biggest stages is something I’ll never take for granted.”
While reflecting on key milestones in his career, he recalled, “Decisive moments in my career? My debut for Flamengo, transfer to Real Madrid.
“There are unforgettable moments in the most important competitions, like scoring in two UCL finals,” he noted.
Talking about the importance of team work and brotherhood in the dressing room, the Brazilian remarked:
“Celebrating success is very important. Success is never achieved alone. In football, we all motivate each other to improve, and celebrating the achievements of others helps to build a positive and supportive environment.
“It’s about respect and recognizing the effort that everyone puts in, even if they are in a different team or in another industry.”
