Manchester United have confirmed the completion of the new and modern players’ tunnel at Old Trafford, just in time for the beginning of the 2024/25 Premier League season.

Last month, United confirmed that work had commenced on a redesign of the iconic players’ tunnel.

It was stated that the objective was to “create a performance environment that will inspire and motivate the men’s women and Academy players on matchday.”

The Red Devils have now published stunning images and a video of the new-look tunnel.

It’s pained in the club’s colours, black and red and also boasts LED lights.

United’s crest has been printed on the ceiling. It also features the Reds’ silhouette adorning the wall on the left. The word UNITED can be seen printed on the wall on the right.

The 20-time English champions have also repositioned plaques in tribute to former club president John Henry Davis and former owner James W. Gibson.

Also present is the eagle crest worn by United in the 1958 FA Cup final, which is inspired by the Manchester United coat of arms.

United insist that Old Trafford is set to be subjected to further changes in the coming weeks and months.

“Work to replace the Stretford End’s executive seating area with general admission season-tickets also began in July, in consultation with the Fans’ Advisory Board.”

“The decision added to a series of fan-centric steps taken by the club following consultation with fan representatives, including the installation of rail seating and the creation of a dedicated atmosphere section in the Stretford End.”

These changes come as minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe eyes up plans to construct a 100,000-capacity ‘Wembley of the North’ which could see the club build a £2billion state-of-the-art football stadium.

A recent report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that United are considering keeping Old Trafford and preserving their historical grounds. The Theatre of Dreams would serve as a home for the women’s and academy teams.
