Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba was given a warm welcome by France fans, as he will meet with the squad to encourage them ahead of the EURO 2024 tie with Belgium.

That game kicks off at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT) in Dusseldorf for the Round of 16.

Pogba and former Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi were invited by the French Football Federation not only to attend the match in the stands, but to meet with the current crop of players beforehand.

It is hoped they can provide some encouragement and inspiration as players who won the 2018 World Cup.

Pogba is currently appealing the four-year ban for failing a doping test while he was playing at Juventus, so the Bianconeri have decided not to go forward with terminating his contract until the appeals process is complete.

He twice joined Juve as a free agent from Manchester United, first in 2012 and again in 2022.

Between those experiences, he was sold to the Old Trafford club for €105m in the summer of 2016.
