Chelsea youngster Andrey Santos scored his first goal for Strasbourg as they beat Metz 2-1 in Ligue 1.

Santos appears to be finding his feet and showing his quality after a disastrous loan spell at Nottingham Forest in the first half of the season.

The Brazilian was recalled in January and sent to French club Strasbourg, and after initially starting on the bench has worked his way into Patrick Viera’s starting line-up and established himself as a key player.

The 20-year-old has put in a series of impressive performances and was named Ligue 1 Young Player of the Month for March, and was also named Strasbourg’s Player of the Month for April.

In Sunday evening’s game against Metz the midfielder scored a last minute winner as he headed home from inside the six yard box.

It will be interesting to see what Chelsea’s plans are for the youngster next season, with the midfielder impressing on the pre season tour, and it appears he has a bright future at the club.
