Italy international Guglielmo Vicario hits back at criticism after Tottenham’s win over Manchester City: ‘A lot of noise recently…’
Vicario’s Tottenham shocked Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, securing a memorable 4-0 victory.
The Italian keeper produced some excellent saves in Manchester, contributing to Spurs’ impressive win.

Vicario and Tottenham had recently been criticised, but their latest victory prompted the Italian shot-stopper to answer critics.
“A lot of noise recently, but this is why we do it,” Vicario wrote on Instagram.
“Great win away from home.”
The social media post received almost 800 comments, including those from Udogie, Radu Dragusin, and Dejan Kulusevski, all in Italian.
Vicario has been criticised primarily for his positioning on set-piece situations, which has been costly in some games for Tottenham and Italy’s national team.
A former Cagliari and Empoli goalkeeper, Vicario has conceded 15 goals in 15 appearances with his club this season, keeping four clean sheets.
His contract in North London expires in June 2028.
