Valery Fernández ends his time at Girona FC | OneFootball

The Escala-born Valery Fernández concludes his time at Girona, where he has grown as a professional. Trained in the red-and-white youth categories, he made his debut with the first team at the age of 19 in the Copa del Rey against Deportivo Alavés and, shortly after, in La Liga against Atlético de Madrid.

During these years with Girona, he has played 140 matches and scored 10 goals, being a key figure in notable moments, such as the brace that allowed the team to reach the round of 16 in the Copa del Rey during the 2020-21 season, or the volley goal against Atlético de Madrid, also in the Copa del Rey in January 2019. Valery is the 20th player of the Club, and the sixth from Girona, with the most matches in professional football.
