We are hours before the game between Inter Miami and Pumas for the third match of the Leagues Cup. The Herons must win in regular time if they want to qualify for the quarterfinal of the tournament.
But, moments ago, a former football legend had some comments about Luis Suarez. The striker is experiencing one of his best moments with Inter Miami.
The important thing about this legend is that he was Suarez's former teammate in the national squad.
According to TNT Sports, Forlan gathered around the media and talked about Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani, two legends from Uruguay's national team.
On the Heron's number nine, Forlan was surprised by the current level Suarez is showing in every game. At 38 years old, one assumes that Father Time would appear. Yet, this season, the former FC Barcelona looks sharper than ever.
Running, with presence in the box, and making every shot worth it, Suarez is in his best form since arriving at Inter Miami.
Forlan noticed it and said: "It looks like Lucho's still got plenty of firepower left in him. He's a true predator in the box and clearly enjoys the game."
Adding that joining Messi and Inter Miami was a great choice by the former Liverpool: "He's surrounded by friends, alongside a world-class player like Lionel Messi, in a place where he can live peacefully and keep competing".
During his one and a half years at the club, Luis Suarez played 70 matches with the Herons.
The Uruguayan scored 34 goals across all competitions and delivered 25 assists. The "Pistolero" helped Inter Miami win the Supporters' Shield last season.
