The 25-year-old winger, who is currently on loan at Greek Super League club Olympiakos, was the subject of speculation connecting him to a summer move to Dynamo Kyiv, despite his current side having an option to purchase him as part of their loan agreement with Celtic.
However, the Kyiv-based outlet Dynamo.Kiev.ua has refuted the claims, describing the murmurings surrounding the former FC Aris winger as ‘untrue.’ Here is their clarification…

Nobody has contacted Luis Palma from Celtic with Dynamo
As reported by Dynamo.kiev.ua, the information that Kyiv’s Dynamo was offered to acquire the midfielder from the Scottish Celtic, Luis Palma, is not true. No inquiries have been made to the Ukrainian club regarding this 25-year-old Honduran legionnaire. Additionally, this season Palma is playing on loan at Greek Olympiacos (10 matches, 1 goal) and this club has the option to buy the transfer rights for the midfielder for £3.5 million.

This follows reports from the player’s homeland claiming that he had been ‘mistreated’ by Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers during the first half of the season, before his return to Greece.
‘Mistreated’ is certainly not the most accurate description of Palma’s time at Celtic. He was given ample opportunities by the manager to impress and on nearly every single occasion was underwhelming. Consequently, Rodgers was content enough to see him find a new club.
During his loan stint at the Greek giants, Palma has featured 10 times across all competitions, registering one goal and one assist.

Prior to Palma’s move to Olympiakos, the Honduras international, with 20 caps and five goals for his country, made only 12 appearances for Celtic in the first half of the season, failing to register any goals or assists.
Brought in and viewed as a successor to the recently departed Jota in 2023, Palma had a promising start to his Scottish career, netting goals against opposition such as Motherwell, Hibernian, and Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership, along with Atletico Madrid and Feyenoord in the Champions League.

He most memorably converted a penalty in Celtic’s 2-1 win over Arne Slot’s Feyenoord on Matchday Six in season 2023/2024, a game in which fellow loan player Gustaf Lagerbielke netted a dramatic late winner to seal a first home victory in Europe’s elite club competition for the Hoops in 10 years. The winger is tied to his parent club through to the summer of 2028.
