Lorenzo Lucca is reportedly on the verge of a move to Napoli, if Liverpool don’t lower the Darwin Nunez asking price. Udinese director Franco Collavino hinted ‘we’ll see what happens over the next few days.’
The centre-forward had effectively agreed terms over a week ago, but was kept on ice as an alternative to their first choice, Liverpool’s Nunez.
With the Uruguayan seemingly considered too expensive, it looks increasingly likely that Napoli will go all in for Lucca instead at circa €30m.

“We are talking about a great talent, an Italian player who had a strong season, scoring 12 goals,” Udinese director general Collavino told Sky Sport Italia.
“He is one of the regulars in the Italy squad, can give certainty in the present, as well as promise for the future.”
“Some interest is more concrete than others, we’ll see what happens over the next few days.”

The Corriere dello Sport suggests Napoli will give it another 48 hours to see if Liverpool are ready to lower the €60m asking price for Nunez, otherwise they’ll finalise the Lucca deal for half that sum.
The Italian would also command a fraction of the Uruguayan’s €6m per season salary.
