Two headline members of the first-team setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid had their attentions swiftly piqued by young teammate Arda Güler, upon his arrival at the club last summer.

That’s according to Marca, who have today provided an insight into the situation.

The name of starlet Güler has of course positioned itself front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.

As much comes with the Turkish international having taken full advantage of his first extended opportunity to showcase his talents in Real’s colours, courtesy of six goals in his last eight appearances.

Prior to as much, however, the majority of the chatter surrounding Güler was of an altogether less positive nature.

This came amid concerns surrounding the readiness of the 19-year-old to contribute.

Owing to an alarming lack of game-time under the watch of boss Carlo Ancelotti, a host of outlets went as far as to point towards the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu preparing to farm Güler out on loan.

As alluded to above, though, two members of Los Blancos’ squad who never appeared to be in any doubt when it comes to the qualities possessed by their young teammate come in the form of Toni Kroos, and Luka Modrić.

As per the aforementioned Marca, the midfield veterans took immediate note of the talents boasted by the summer arrival in Madrid.

As much came with Güler, just 18 at the time, having left his new teammates thoroughly ‘impressed’ for a player of such tender years.
