The biggest talking points after a thrilling 3-2 finish in Southampton's recent Premier League defeat.
Southampton must have departed the City Ground with mixed feelings. The Saints went 3-0 down in the first half, but followed it with nearly turning the tide at 3-2.
A classic example of a tale of two halves. Against Manchester United, Southampton conceded late goals and here, they scored them on the weekend.
Still, both matches resulted in a defeat. Thus, let's take a walkthrough of the biggest talking points from this eventful game.
Kicking things off with the two answers we got from the Nottingham Forest defeat. Later, we will deep dive into the two questions after an intense finish to the match.
Two Answers
Who will Ivan Juric bring in Dibling's absence?
Undoubtedly, the biggest pre match doubt was that who would be tasked to replace Dibling. Cameron Archer seemed the best choice and indeed Juric turned up to him.
However, the striker didn't enjoy a great outing on Sunday. Nottingham Forest's defence didn't let any space to the Southampton attack, meaning Archer had to drop down as a playmaker later.
Would Ola Aina prove to be a crucial factor against Southampton?
Nottingham Forest boss Nuno revealed that their team was learning from Ola Aina's advice. After all, he was a part of Ivan Juric's Torino team earlier.
Three quick goals are enough to say that Aina knew about Juric's gameplan. Furthermore, Aina gave an assist and made an incredible clearance in the ending moments of the match.
Clearly, Aina was the deciding factor in the 3-2 defeat.
Have the Premier League teams exposed Ramsdale's weakness?
Until last week, Aaron Ramsdale used to be among Southampton's best players. The 26-year-old was constantly pulling out big saves and was the first names on the team sheet.
Unfortunately, a lot has changed in the past few days. Ramsdale was beaten twice at his near post by Amad and then Nottingham Forest also followed suit.
Elliot Anderson and Callum Hudson-Odoi got the better of him with their long range shots. Later, Ramsdale even put the ball in the net on the offside chance, which reflects his confidence as well.
This question must be asked, especially after Tyler Dibling's month long injury. Further, Ivan Juric also revealed that Kamaldeen Sulemana isn't fit enough to start every game.
