Two Barcelona Atlètic midfielders to do pre-season with Hansi Flick’s first-team | OneFootball

Two up-and-coming midfield starlets at La Liga giants Barcelona are set to take their respective places in the club’s first-team setup for pre-season.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Marc Casadó and Marc Bernal as the pair in question.

Both Casadó and Bernal are fresh off enjoying stellar individual seasons on the books of Rafa Márquez’s Barca Atlètic.

The former acted as Blaugrana captain, with 17-year-old Bernal having also been widely hailed for his efforts en route to two goals and six assists in 36 total appearances.

And as much, it has today been revealed, will prove enough for both to link up with the incoming Hansi Flick’s senior squad over the weeks ahead.

As per Relevo:

‘Marc Casadó and Marc Bernal will do the preseason with the first team, and are on the list of possible midfielders for next season.’

The former, in particular, is thought to be pushing hard for a regular berth at senior level, with his recent contract extension having come with a view to Casadó making the step up from reserve team duties over the season ahead.
