Tuttosport: Substance without style – why Conceicao is ‘not happy’ despite Como win | OneFootball

AC Milan boss Sergio Conceicao has already established a knack of engineering comeback wins, but he cannot be totally thrilled after the Como game.

After a poor first half, Como rocked Milan when Assane Diao fired them ahead early in the second, but Milan do not know when they are beaten under the new boss and scored twice inside five minutes to turn things around.

Theo Hernandez got the equaliser with a shanked shot that looped over the goalkeeper and in, while Rafael Leao’s winner was a very composed finish after Tammy Abraham’s assist, with 1-2 the final score.

As Tuttosport (via MilanNews) report, winning was the most important thing and – at this point in the season – it is arguably the only thing that matters. With grit and pride Milan came from behind again, showing great resolve to turn a defeat into three big points, especially with Juventus drawing.

Despite this, the paper adds that ‘Conceiçao is not happy’, referring to the evident frustrations during the game (such as throwing his jacket off early on, on a freezing cold night) and the post-match words of the Portuguese coach.

Analysing the situation as a whole, Conceicao wants a more solid and aggressive Milan, something that has only been seen in flashes during his four games in charge so far, and exclusively in the second half when chasing the game.

He also expressed dissatisfaction towards the fact he is asked to do pre-match interviews, which he believes the directors should do, while he bemoaned the fitness levels of the squad that he has inherited.
