AC Milan and Inter have been intertwined in a scandal with the ultras of both clubs and with the FIGC’s involvement, it seems there will be fines and suspensions handed out.
The story of the ultras seems to unravel as time continues to pass, and we published a feature on the matter recently looking at the claims and the situations of the ongoing case. Nevertheless, one question has hung over everything.
What effect will it have on the clubs, if any?
Now, with the FIGC involved, it seems that the clubs will soon be punished, and they will not be the only ones, according to Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan). For both clubs, it seems that fines are to be handed out. The numbers are not stated, although they will not get off with ‘light ones’.
Additionally, there is no suggestion about either Milan or Inter receiving a higher fine.
Now, we must look at other parties of interest: Hakan Calhanoglu, Federico Dimarco, Javier Zanetti and Simone Inzaghi for Inter, then Davide Calabria for the Rossoneri.
It seems that the two Nerazzurri players ‘risk’ a suspension of 2-3 games from the FIGC, as well as a fine, whereas the situation with the higher pair is ‘more nuanced’.
For Calabria, the situation will be the same, given he met Luca Lucci to discuss the problems of the Diavolo – the risk of a 2-3 game suspension and a fine.
