As we rapidly approach the 30th day of the ongoing summer transfer window, there has been little to suggest once again that a new signing is right around the corner.

In fact, Thursday and the 28th day of the Manchester City summer rumour mill saw the club distanced from a trio of targets, with one name in particular committing his future to his current club by five years.

The exit door sees two Manchester City full-backs linked with exits from the Etihad Stadium on permanent agreements, one of whom is beginning to attract attention from the Saudi Pro League and a big-money contract in the Middle-East.

Day 28 brought about some significant movement in the way of non-interest in reported transfer targets, and as always, here is everything you need to know in order to remain up to date with the latest Manchester City transfer news, rumours, and gossip!

Arrivals

Manchester City are not in the market for Dani Olmo. (Alex Crook)

Reported Manchester City target Christos Mandas is ready to sign a new five-year contract with Lazio, worth around €1 million net per season plus add-ons, tying him to the club to June 2029. (Calciomercato)

There has been no consultation so far from Manchester City in highly-rated Brazil under-23 international goalkeeper, Mycael. (Rômulo Giacomin)

Bruno Guimaraes is very happy at Newcastle and would never do anything to jeopardise the respect he has at the club. However, the Brazilian wants to play in the Champions League soon, and there is confidence at Arsenal and Manchester City that he could be signed for around £80 million. They also believe Guimaraes would be keen to play for their sides, finding it hard to turn down a move – but City are most likely, if he moved. (TEAMtalk)

Departures

Manchester City have offered Joao Cancelo to several teams and have lowered their asking price demands once again, having started the summer at €30 million and now open to a deal at less than €20 million. (Sport)

Kyle Walker is poised to become the next member of Manchester City’s squad to be wanted by Saudi Arabia ahead of the new season. There is doubt over whether Walker is keen to remain at City, and his potential exit would result in Rico Lewis being on course to secure more regular game time. (GIVEMESPORT)

Dani Carvajal: “I tell Rodri every day to sign for Real Madrid. I tell him every day to leave Manchester, that there is no sun there and to come to Madrid, that we need him. He tells me he has a contract… but he would be perfect for us.” (Tiempo de Juego)
