The new Premier League season is now less than two weeks away and the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are showing no signs of slowing down their wheeling and dealing. With £64million man Viktor Gyokeres finally wrapped up, the Gunners are expected to step up their interest in Eberechi Eze, whose £68m release clause expires on the opening day of the campaign.

Liverpool finally lodged an opening bid for Alexander Isak, worth £110million, which was immediately rejected by Newcastle. In a fresh twist, the Reds have opted against making a second bid as the Magpies demand £150m for their star man, and could now turn to Rodrygo. Newcastle remain interested in Benjamin Sesko, and have interest in Yoane Wissa, and have reportedly beaten Man United to the RB Leipzig striker’s signature.

Leipzig could also lose Xavi Simons, with Chelsea in talks over a deal having agreed a £38m fee for Jorrel Hato. Alejandro Garnacho remains a target. Tottenham are set to sign Joao Palhinha on loan from Bayern Munich and will then look to sign another attacking player. Follow the latest transfer news, gossip and rumours live below!

Howe confirms Isak latest as 'Newcastle beat Man Utd to Sesko signing'

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has confirmed that Liverpool's bid for Alexander Isak was rejected amid reports the club have beaten Manchester United to the signing of Benjamin Sesko.

Howe admits he is unsure of what could happen regarding Isak with a month of the transfer window still to run.

He told reporters on Saturday morning: "From my situation I am very much removed from what was happening back home. I was made aware of a bid yesterday and that bid was turned down all before I even heard about. People back in England are dealing with the situation.

"I really don't know what happens next. From our perspective, we still support Alex in every way, and my wish is that we see him in a Newcastle shirt again."

Hours after word of Newcastle rejecting a bid for Isak emerged, reports from Slovenia claimed that the club had beaten Man Utd to the signing of striker target Benjamin Sesko in a deal worth around £80m.

Howe remained tight-lipped, however, adding: "I am sorry to sound like a broken record, I am aware of what is happening but I am not dealing with it. I woke up today and had two training sessions then came straight here.

MLS outfit LAFC are leading the race for his signature, the PA news agency understands.

Son told a press conference: "Before we start, I wanted to say I have decided to leave the club this summer.

"It was the most difficult decision I have made in my career, such amazing memories. It was so hard to make this decision.

He continued: "I need a new environment to push myself. I need a little bit of change - 10 years is a long time.

"I came to north London as a kid, 23-years-old, such a young age. I leave the club as a grown man, a very proud man.

"I want to say thanks to all the Spurs fans for giving me so much love. I hope the goodbye is also good timing and this is the right time to make that decision. I hope everyone can accept and respect that."
