Ange Postecoglou finished his first season in charge of Spurs in fifth spot and duly secured Europa League qualification.
The former Celtic manager has talked of his more lofty ambitions ahead of next season, as well as the size of the rebuild the club need this summer.
Before any of that can happen, however, Spurs travel to Melbourne to play their Premier League rivals.
Spurs are taking a 24-man squad Down Under but have left Cristian Romero and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg at home.
Their injured players in Richarlison, Destiny Udogie, Manor Solomon, Timo Werner, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Giovani Lo Celso, Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon have not travelled.
The highly-rated young forward Mikey Moore has also not made the journey due to his involvement with the England U17s.
It remains to be seen which of Tottenham’s big names play and changes are expected throughout the contest, with a number of young players named in the squad.
