FC Barcelona have four of their players playing away on loan this season, i.e., Oriol Romeu, Clement Lenglet, Alex Valle, and Vitor Roque.
None of these players is set to return to the Blaugrana club before the end of this season, but one of the loanees is already generating a lot of interest in the market, i.e., Vitor Roque.
The Brazilian is putting in good performances with Real Betis, the team that he joined on a two-year loan last summer after having struggled in his six months at Barcelona. Owing to these performances, he has already attracted interest from clubs around the world, with the Brazilian side Palmeiras interested in taking him back to his native country.
But this is not the only club interested in the Barcelona loanee, as SPORT reports that the Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur have also made inquiries about him.
Scouts from the London club recently arrived at Benito Villamarin during the match against Rayo Vallecano to monitor the Verdiblanco midfielder Johnny Cardoso, on whom they have a buy option for the coming summer.
But in this visit, they also made inquiries about Roque, who has been one of the star performers for the Andalusian club this season and also scored a goal in this match.
Tottenham are currently going through a crisis as they have not been able to get the required results, and although a significant shake-up is expected in their squad next summer, some changes can also take place in January.
However, Vitor Roque’s future is far from certain, as Barcelona are expecting an agreement to be reached with Real Betis for a permanent sale. The Seville side has a purchase option on 80% of the player’s rights for €25 million. However, they are in no hurry at the moment, and even more sides can enter the race for his signing in the coming months.
