Top 10 Serie A players from opening 13 rounds: De Gea and Lookman dominate | OneFootball

Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman and Fiorentina goalkeeper David De Gea rank as the best performing players in Serie A over the first 13 matches of the 2024-25 season, but no Napoli players feature in the top 10 despite sitting at the top of the league table.

Football Italia ranks the top 10 Serie A players after Round 13, which ended with Lecce’s 1-0 win away against Venezia on Monday night.

The ranking is based on average player ratings from Italian sports papers for footballers who have made at least 50% of Serie A appearances this term.

Lookman has jumped up to the top of the standings after grabbing his seventh league goal in 10 outings during Atalanta’s 3-1 victory over Parma at the weekend.

De Gea is level with Lookman on average ratings after keeping another clean sheet in Fiorentina’s 2-0 win over 10-man Como. La Viola now have seven wins on the spin with the former Manchester United keeper between the sticks.

Another Atalanta forward in Mateo Retegui completes the top three. He was on the scoresheet after just four minutes against Parma, and is still leading the division’s top scorer charts with 12 from 13 games.

Despite losing to Atalanta, former Real Madrid talent Nico Paz ranks highly among the best performing Serie A players.

Moise Kean and Nuno Tavares are level in fifth with the same rating, while Marcus Thuram, Mattia Zaccagni, Timothy Weah and Ardian Ismajli follow closely behind.
