There are several names linked to the AC Milan head coach role, but there are no clear signs in place just yet, which is a bit of a worry.
Despite Sergio Conceicao still being in the job, it seems blatant that Milan will separate from the Portuguese this summer. After all, the six months have not gone as anyone would have hoped or imagined.
Of course, the blame can be pointed in several directions regarding this. However, there is a feeling that more could and should have been done by Conceicao. Furthermore, the club have also failed to really support the coach, which has hurt their own chances of retention – something which we reported earlier this week.
So, we are left looking away from what could be under the former Porto man, and towards what could be under someone else’s tenure, and Niccolo Ceccarini has evaluated the current picture for TMW, via Milan News.
“Now we come to the situation of Milan. The question of the sporting director is still open. Until there is a final choice, it will be difficult to understand which profile will be evaluated as a coach. There is no shortage of hypotheses, however. The idea is to take a high-profile coach.
“Allegri’s return is a solution, even if at the moment there are no certainties. Another name not to be underestimated is Sarri, fresh from his experience with Lazio and now ready to start again for an interesting project. Ancelotti, who, in all likelihood, will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season, is only a suggestion at the moment.”
