Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel has poured cold water on suggestions of ongoing talks with Manchester United or any other club.

As pressure mounts on Erik ten Hag, Tuchel has been mentioned to be a prime managerial target for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS to potentially replace the Dutchman.

Tuchel is set to leave Bayern at the end of the season and will be available on the market. A report covered by The Peoples Person relayed that the German coach is the frontrunner to take over the reins at Old Trafford.

He’s thought to be part of a list also consisting of the likes of Graham Potter, Gareth Southgate, Hansi Flick, Roberto De Zerbi, Ruben Amorim and Zinedine Zidane, just to mention a few names.

Tuchel recently opened up about the likelihood of making a return to England. He explained that he enjoyed his time with Chelsea and would love to manage in the Premier League again one day.

It was subsequently stated that talks between United and the 50-year-old coach were set to accelerate this week before Bayern’s Sunday game against Bundesliga rivals Wolfsburg at the Allianz Arena.

It’s understood that Tuchel believes he has “unfinished business” in the Premier League and would welcome an approach from the Red Devils.

He’s of the opinion that United’s new sporting model under Ratcliffe and INEOS would likely “suit his style and personality.”

Tuchel however spoke to reporters ahead of Bayern’s clash this weekend and refuted claims that talks between his camp and the 20-time English champions are underway.

He said (via Fabrizio Romano), “There’s been no discussions with other clubs.”

“My future? I have no idea. I’ll think about things in peace.”

“Things have been clear since February. I’ll take my time.”

Meanwhile, United return to action on Sunday when they take on title-challenging Arsenal at the Theatre of Dreams.
