With Rangers fans baying for blood right now it is safe to say that all is not well down Ibrox way.

But how does this utterly terrible Rangers team and manager compare with some of the absolute atrocities from the past?

A lot of Rangers fans are calling this team and indeed manager the worst ever but is that accurate?

The 2012- rangers team was obviously diabolical and way below standard and cannot really be included in any kind of accurate barometer.

But aside that era is this the worst Rangers team of all time?

When we look back at Pedro Warburton and the secondhand car salesman we see some abysmal Rangers teams just like we did at the end of Alex McLeish’s era.

Over the years we have seen some horrible Rangers teams and indeed the Great Walter saved one of the worst in 2007.

We will never forget how bad that Frenchman’s team was with the likes of Jeremy Clement and Karl Svensson to boast of and Walter with just four signings at a complete total of £2 million turned that team into the best in Scotland overnight.

It shows the right man can fix the biggest mess and Le Guen really did create a big mess.

Just like today’s manager, Clement, the Frenchman was extremely arrogant and refused to ever hold himself accountable for his mistakes of which there were many.

Walter fixed it with just four signings in the January window.

But we don’t have him anymore, and as far as things go accordingly, Rangers are on the path to becoming hearts.

We may have more money than the Edinburgh side, but many fans are trying to defend the current state of affairs by calling it downsizing and living within our means.

The problem is Rangers need to win and this manager cannot do that.

Worst Rangers team of all time? It is among them yes, and Clement is without any doubt one of the worst managers we have ever had.
