Brentford take on Aston Villa at Villa Park in our next Premier League fixture on Wednesday 4 December (8.15pm kick-off). The match will broadcast live on Amazon Prime.

If you are heading to the game, here’s some useful information on getting to the ground and tips to make the most of your trip to Birmingham.

Trainline want to make it even easier to travel green. As part of their I Came By Train campaign to help fight climate change, you can save 20 per cent on your journey when you book in advance with Trainline.

After you purchase your match ticket, you will be sent an email with your unique discount code within one to two working days. Each ticket holder will receive an email with their unique discount code. You can redeem your discount code when purchasing your rail ticket.

Travelling by train

Direct trains run from either London Euston to Birmingham New Street, or London Marylebone to Birmingham Moor Street. Journey times vary from 90 minutes to two hours.

The nearest station to Villa Park is Witton. Trains from Birmingham New Street to Witton run every 30 minutes and take around 10 minutes. Fans arriving at Birmingham Moor Street can take a short walk to Birmingham New Street to travel to Witton.

The latest direct trains back to London from Birmingham leave from Birmingham New Street at 22:17 and 23:11. Return tickets to London are likely to sell out. We recommend you use Trainline to book your ticket as soon as possible.

Local travel to the ground

The number seven bus will take fans from outside Snow Hill station in the city centre to Witton Road, adjacent to Villa Park. Use Trinity Road bus stop to be within walking distance of the stadium.

Fans can also take the AV82 shuttle bus from Dudley Street, outside Birmingham New Street Station, to within a 10-minute walk to the ground. Return tickets cost £5 and can be purchased from the driver. The shuttle serves both home and away fans.

Alternatively, you can use one of the taxi ranks outside at station in the city centre.

Travelling by car

For fans driving from London, exit the M6 and junction 6 following signs to the A38.

A traffic exclusion zone operates around Villa Park on matchdays on Witton Lane and Trinity Road, either side of the stadium. The zone is in operation two hours prior to kick off to approximately 30-60 minutes after the final whistle.

There are a number of official parking sites that fans can use on matchday. Find these on the travel and parking section of Aston Villa’s website.

Ticketing information

For any ticketing enquiries on matchday the visitors ticket office is located on Witton Lane opposite the away coach park.

Any duplicate ticket requests must be sent to Aston Villa by the Brentford box office. Please contact Brentford's box office with any inquiries ahead of the matchday.

If you’re collecting your ticket at Villa Park, please remember to bring ID.

Meet, eat and drink before the match

There are many options for food and drink in the city centre and plenty of places to meet other Brentford fans before you head to the stadium.

The Square Peg or The Shakespeare pubs are in the city centre, and both are in walking distance from trains and buses to the ground.

There are no designated away pubs in the vicinity of Villa Park. Please note that the Witton Arms no longer accepts away fans.

Aston Villa operate a family fun zone with free activities for children, including face painting and football games. The family fun zone is open two hours before kick-off and can be found in the academy building on Witton Lane, opposite the away coach park.

Entering the ground

The away section at Villa Park is located in the north east corner of the Doug Ellis stand. Use turnstiles Q91 to Q96B to enter the ground.

Aston Villa reserves the right to refuse admission to anyone with flags and banners that have not been pre-arranged with Aston Villa ahead of matchday.

It is not recommended that you bring a bag to Villa Park. Small bags can be taken into the stadium and will be searched on arrival. Large bags will not be admitted. Please note that there is no bag storage at Villa Park.

Getting back after the match

After the match, return to the city centre by taking a train from Witton station, the number seven bus from Witton Road, or the AV82 shuttle bus.

Busy crowds can cause queues for train or bus services to the city centre. Walking from Villa Park back to the city centre takes approximately an hour.

Accessibility

Visiting clubs’ fans have 14 wheelchair spaces located within the away section in the lower tier of the Doug Ellis stand. There are three accessible toilets in the stand.

Wheelchair users can access Villa Park via Gate 28, next to the away ticket office and turnstiles.

Visually impaired spectators can have free access to match commentary provided via earpieces that can be used from anywhere within the visiting supporter’s section.

To book a wheelchair space or blue badge parking, please contact Brentford’s disability access officer (accessibility@brentfordfc.com) as soon as possible.
