Thilo Kehrer joins AS Monaco on loan deal from West Ham

West Ham defender Thilo Kehrer has joined Ligue 1 side AS Monaco on a six month loan deal worth €500k.

The 27-year-old has made just four appearances all season for the Hammers after helping his side win the Europa Conference League in his first season in Claret and Blue last year.

The German had a rocky start to his West Ham career but really came into his own in the second half of last season, playing a key role in West Ham’s survival and cup win.

Thilo Kehrer has joined AS Monaco on loan until the end of the season. Everyone at the Club wishes Thilo the best for his loan spell.

Whilst on an initial 6 month loan to the third placed Ligue 1 side, there is an obligation to make the move permanent for €11 million.

It’s a move that makes sense for both parties considering West Ham’s need to sign reinforcements and the German’s lack of game time, especially with Euro 2024 coming up in the summer.
