Manchester City and Juventus have confirmed their starting lineups ahead of tonight’s crucial UEFA Champions League fixture. Both teams will be desperate for three points to maintain any hope of finishing in the top 8 of the Champions League league phase table.
For Manchester City, they will enter tonight’s match without five first-team players. Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Nathan Ake, Rodri and Oscar Bobb are all out of tonight’s match. Phil Foden and Mateo Kovacic trained yesterday in a boost for Pep Guardiola’s side. Although it appears unlikely that either player will start tonight.
Pep Guardiola has implored his team to get back to basics. The Manchester City manager believes if they do it will get them out of their recent poor run. The champions enter tonight’s match after winning only one of their past nine games in all competitions. They will need to be at their best to beat Thiago Motta’s side tonight.
