“The coach likes”- Enzo Fernandez reveals what he’d worked on in training before Spurs win

Enzo Fernandez put in a man of the match performance against Tottenham on Thursday and after the game he revealed what he’d been working on in training.
Fernandez headed home the only goal of the game in the second half as he converted Cole Palmer’s pinpoint cross.
It was the Argentine’s fifth league goal of the campaign and his second against Spurs this season, with the three points moving Chelsea back into the top four.
Fernandez had impressed on international duty for Argentina and continued that form for the Blues with another top performance.
The Argentina international is comfortably having his best season in a Chelsea shirt, with Maresca very happy with his improvement.
Fernandez, who reportedly turned down a move to Atletico Madrid is said to be a key part of the Chelsea project moving forward and wants to help the club get back into the Champions League.

Adding goals to his game this season has been crucial and after the Spurs game the 24-year-old revealed what he’d been working on in training.
“The cross from Cole was incredible,” he told Chelsea’s official website.
“I got myself into that position in the box, and it’s something I had been working on in training during the week, as the coach likes me getting into that position. I was there and luckily was able to score.”

Fernandez will likely once again play a key role in Sunday’s huge game against Brentford with the Blues knowing they can ill afford any slips ups with the race for Champions League football looking like it will go right down to the wire.
