FIFA have confirmed the 16-player shortlist for the 2024 Best FIFA Women's Player award and fans from across the globe can now cast their votes.
The biggest talents in the women's game have been nominated for the prize, with recent Ballon d'Or Feminin winner Aitana Bonmati among the favourites. The Spain international is joined by five current Barca teammates on the shortlist in Caroline Graham Hansen, Keira Walsh, Ona Batlle and Salma Paralluelo.
Lucy Bronze joined Chelsea in the summer and has been nominated, while England colleague Lauren Hemp makes the cut alongside Walsh.
It is the ninth edition of The Best FIFA Football Awards, which first took place in 2016. Previous winners include former USWNT star Carli Lloyd, Brazil superstar Marta and Lionesses defender Bronze.
The Best FIFA Women's Goalkeeper was first introduced in 2019 and Mary Earps claimed the prize in both 2022 and 2023. Other winners include Chile's Christiane Endler and Dutchwoman Sari van Veenendaal.
Sarina Wiegman is a four-time winner of The Best FIFA Women's Coach award, but this is the first time since 2016 she has not been nominated. Emma Hayes, who was the runner-up in 2023, has been shortlisted once again after success with both Chelsea and the USWNT.
