Aston Villa are unlikely to sign Chelsea centre back Axel Disasi on a permanent basis this summer according to The Athletic.
The Blues are once again set to have a busy summer and could sell as many as seven or eight players in order to fund their business.
Chelsea face a critical window with the club looking to sign a striker, centre back and right footed attacker to strengthen Enzo Maresca’s squad.
Whilst incomings will be vital in the window, outgoings are also going to be very important, with the Blues looking to sell a number of players who are now surplus to requirements.
Chelsea loaned out a number of players in January and they will be keen to find permanent homes for them this summer.

Disasi falls into that category and the France international joined Aston Villa on loan, but has made just ten appearances for the club, with The Athletic now providing an update on his future.
They report Villa are unlikely to sign the 27-year-old after he was left out of the match day squad for last weekend’s win against Fulham.
Whilst he’s impressed in some games, Disasi has also been at fault for Villa conceding goals in big matches against Paris Saint Germain and Manchester City.
Chelsea signed Disasi for around £39m from Monaco in the summer of 2023, and after impressing under Mauricio Pochettino he simply doesn’t suit the style of play under Maresca.
Whilst the Blues are looking to move on the likes of Disasi, Trevoh Chalobah and Renato Veiga, they are also keen to bring another centre half in.
Mamadou Sarr will arrive from Strasbourg after a deal was agreed in January, but Chelsea have identified Dean Huijsen as their main defensive target.

Competition for the 20-year-old is fierce and he has a £50m release clause, but the Blues are said to be best positioned to complete a deal.
Marc Guehi and Jorrel Hato are thought to be alternative targets, but it’s important Chelsea address a lack of leadership and experience at the back no matter who they sign.
