Thomas Frank reports that Dominic Solanke is not quite ready for a return to action and will therefore sit out our pre-season match against Newcastle United in Seoul on Sunday (12noon UK).

The striker has missed our last two friendlies but Thomas said he was 'not overly concerned'.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY on Saturday morning local time here in Korea, Thomas told us: "Dominic is unfortunately not quite ready. He’s taking slightly a bit longer. Again, not overly concerned, but he's not available for the Newcastle game.

"Everyone else looks good, a few tired bodies, naturally after the game against Arsenal and travelling to Seoul, but touch wood everyone is good."

Thomas said he was 'very happy' to see James Maddison return to action in the win against Arsenal in Hong Kong on Thursday evening. The playmaker came off the bench late - his first minutes of action since suffering a knee injury in the UEL semi-final, first leg against Bodo/Glimt on May.

"Yes, very happy to have Madders back, obviously a very important player for us, so it was positive getting some minutes into him," he said.

Meanwhile, speaking at our pre-match press conference, where Heung-Min Son announced his intention to leave the Club after 10 years of service, Thomas stated that Sonny will start and captain the team at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

He said: "It is very clear and it is no secret that Sonny will start tomorrow and lead the team out tomorrow. If it is to be his last game (for the Club), it could be a beautiful ending in his home."
